Has this occurred to anybody else?

"You're fighting a completely different spider

You fire a few blasts from your bounty-hunting rifle. PEW PEW! You hit for 458 (+10) damage. KAPOW! SOCKO! WHAM! WHACK! WHACK! SMACK! KAPOW! BOOF! BOINK! BAM!

You win the fight!

You gain 6 Meat.

You acquire an item: spider web

You gain 2 Enchantedness.

You hear strains of lovely music in the distance."

Also heard it in the Black Forest, somewhere very far away. It's been happening to me everywhere!

I heard it 2.Did you check the areas around the places you heard it?Maybe its a special event or a new quest.

It means that the Strung Up Quartet (choice adventure in the Haunted Ballroom) is playing a song for you.
