Where did it go???

Ok, this is now day 3 that KoL's servers are taking so long to respond that I cannot get onto the site. Please, am I the only one having this problem? Is there something wrong at their end? Has it all crashed? What *is* going on???

I have not had any problem connecting to the Kingdom. I think the problem must be on your end. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.

This is getting stupid now. Still no KoL. Everything else at my end works fine, but I keep getting problem loading page, server timed out. I've tried at all hours of day and night, repeatedly, but no joy.

Got it! Ok, for anyone else who may ever experience this, I found the problem. My saved link was www5.kingdomofloathing - when I used Google to find KoL it gave me a link to www6.kingdomofloathing. Changed the number, got in straight away! Yay! But WTF??????

So, I have *NO* idea why this happened, *NO* idea why it only seemed to happen to me, but it's sorted now. And hopefully anyone else with the problem can sort it now, too.

i had that problem a few days ago, very frustrating. especially the fact that it wouldn't let mafia run either!
i'm just glad i got through.

If you have a favorite, make sure it is "www.kingdomofloathing.com" and doesn't include a server number, etc. Otherwise you might find yourself trying to connect to a server that is possibly full, down, etc.

Any time you are having trouble connecting, clear out your temporary internet files and browsing history. Unless you notice a thread about connection issues, or whatever, chances are it's on your side of things.

Hope that helps a bit as I've had a problem or two in the past like that.

Log out, log in again. That works for me when things get laggy.
