Contest Ideas

I want to start running some KoL contests in January. Besides a raffle, what contest ideas would you like to see?

Ok, Ive been racking my brain trying to think of a fair contest for all of us to play. I thought about a scavenger hunt, but Ive only been playing a few months and Im pretty sure, with the exception of the ultra rares, I have just about every item in my inventory.

How about a series of like 15 riddles, each one alluding to a certain item that can be found , or could have been found, in the Kingdom. First person to get all 15 riddles right would be declared the winner. Extra points to anyone who has a valid argument as to why their wrong answer could have been considered right.

Also, we could have a new outfit contest. People would have to create a new outfit consisting of a shirt, a hat, a weapon, and a minimum of two accessories. They will have to give a story behind their outfit and maybe even think of an area it could pop from. The winner could be the most well thought out, the funniest, or even the most bizarre outfit. And maybe if were lucky one of the big dogs that create content might check this contest out and decide to implement one of our ideas.

If Nik will allow, I could even come up with the 15 riddles. I wouldnt participate in the contest, nor would I allow anyone in my clan to participate, but in order to save him some time, Id gladly take it over.

Riddles suck. A big Kol general knowledge quiz would be good if you ask me.

How about a "search for where you find this and you'll win" kinda thing. It gives people a advantage/reason to explore the kingdom

We can work on this idea together, if you'd like. I'd even be willing to work up some sort of ingame reward for coming up with the riddles.

Love the idea of contests!
Scavenger hunt could work if you used shops. Contest points to first shop/item to obtain. Store text provides clue to next shop/item. You could run different levels - easiest level just gives you the shop and item, harder levels give clues - instead of extra-spicy bloody mary you say a hot drink, etc. The shop owners would provide verification that the item was actually purchased from their shop.
I like the new costume idea, knowing how creative people are it is going to be hard to judge! Along that line, how about a contest to suggest items missing from KoL and why they should be added and how they would be used?
