I don't know. The problem in KoL right now is there's too much meat. Meat sinks are currently the hot item. It's pretty easy to make meat. Having something like this would just lead to more problems.

I've actually been thinking it might be interesting to see a Stock Market of Loathing (on which people could invest in stores), though it probably falls into the same category as "banks", i.e. Things We Don't Need Because There's Too Much Meat In Circulation Already.

Part of the issue comes from the fact that as long as battles generate meat and items, there will be an infinite supply of meat to add to the economy. The more people play, the faster that meat will be added to the economy.

Because new players need to be able to generate meat from day one, it would be impossible to completely eliminate meat generated in battles and meat generated from selling spare items off at the "standard rate" (not even considering the flea market and mall).

How do other online games deal with this sort of issue?

Pretty much looks like we won't be seeing that, though.

sounds like it's all getting so intricate. It'll be like da Matrix all up in dis piece! Except the Agent Smiths will be VERY crudely drawn.

Why no reset?

I'm wondering the same thing. I was pretty sure that there would be a reset once all of the neccesary content/missing pieces were added in- this would pretty much end all of the problems concerning too much meat being circulated.

ps-- Tin, share the wealth, man. :P
