Connection failure from jmIrc, Windows Mobile phone

I just installed jmIrc on my windows mobile phone, but it (or more
probably, coldfront) will not let me log in to the channels I
frequent. I get the following error:

*** connecting to irc.coldfront.net at port 6667
*** Error trying to connect to IRC server, aborting... Exception: javax.microedition.io.Connector.socket was denied.

I have never been warned, blocked, or banned.

Please let me know if there is some minor tweaking that either of us
could do that would allow me to log in using the jmIrc client. I
really don't want to pay for another client for my phone--especially
if I found out it was blocked as well.
