Starting Guild wars...

I am an old player of DAoC, and i quit because it is quite pricey. so im thinking of starting this game, and its allways good to start off with people to talk to and help you out in-game while your still getting used to it n stuff... i dont know much about it yet but ill be going on soon, anyone out there willing to be of assistnce?

I have to say that that is a hard choice!

I have deleted many characters because I didn't like what I was doing, but I've probably deleted more because I didn't like their names!

The good thing is if you pick a primary profession you like you can change the characters secondary later on (after ascension).

My first character was an Elementalist/Mesmer but I have also played it regularly as an Ele/Monk, Ele/Nec and Ele/Ranger.

My Warrior has much more experience and is capable as being outfitted as a Warrior/Monk, Ranger, Ele, Nec & Mesmer.

And then my monk has Monk/Mesmer, Warrior and Necro available.


All i'd suggest is that you have a go and see if you like the basic principle of the character (like its positioning, ease of use, whether you like mana based damage, interference, degen etc. or building adrenal skills, healing) and work from there.
