Hello.
I'm a mate of Real's and he suggested i check out this site and post on the forum. In game stuff is that I play necro in PVP and PVE and monk in PVP. I have other characters but to be honest I'm a bit rubbish at them compared to my ability with the above two. Been playing Guild Wars since about 2 weeks after release in the UK (where I am from) and have looged 980 hours so far. Not bad for a married man with 2 kids. Some say I should spend more time parenting and being a husband but I do that as well as enjoying my time in GW so I have found a happy balance. Anyway.. my youngest likes to watch me play GW and shouts encouraging things lie " are you dead Daddy" and the eldest always has her nose buried in a book or a gameboy so they do okay. Am currently an officer in The Brotherhood of Kai along with your resident staff member Real and enjoying it immensly. Was in a couple of guilds before that, also with Real (and with Avril cloud as well), but they sort of petered out due to being infected by teenie boppers with no patience or staying power. Although some of them were good kids so that comment might be a bit unfair. Looking foward to factions mainly cause I will be starting it with a vague idea of what to do unlike when I started GW as that was my first game of this type. I was always more of a RTS of FPS person before GW. I have an aversion to paying monthly fees to play a game so GW was my first real oppurtunity to play a good RP type game. So after 9 months I think I've finally started to get a grip on what I need to do. Not that I'm an awful player or anything I just felt that I started from a point behind most players due to my lack of knowledge of the genre in general. Anyway. Nice to meet you all. Keep up the good work at coldfront Galazar and Real. The site is really starting to come together. It's already 100% better than it was when I first looked at it when Real was first made staff. Yeah, he's a pretty decent Necro and Monk in PvP and PvE and has been a good officer and is very patient putting up with me if we go for a 2 man Underworld run (probably because last time I ended up with a great 200g while he picked up 23k from the run). I think we're in the same boat concerning factions, where Guild Wars was actually my first online game, but my ego cannot stand losing so I worked on learning the game mechanics but most notably was coached through much of the game by my mates (particularly Av, Mort, the guys from ABLW and the Prima Guide + fansites such as this). Mort, hopefully I'll catch ya soon mate, it's prolly time to do another underworld run again.

Yes mate.. I need some more ecto's and we need to get that smite crawler bit properly sorted as well.
Also now that SS necs aren't flavour of the month in PVe tombs anymore I don't get much chance to use it. It's all bloody orders and MM'ing now in barrage pet teams. Not that that is a bad thing. It's about time rangers got something in the game that they can get in teams for.. I just think SS is so much mroe useful that orders in PVE. Orders is sooooo boring to play. So I do MM there now but I still love my resolve echo SS nec... the yellow -41's all across the screen make me smile so a nice few UW runs with you would go down great. |

Tisk tisk tisk. You should never use that kinda language infront of children, espeacially one such as Kyla...
BTW, the reason for the strange gaze is because your fly is open...

Spose I'd best update my details as we now have a new baby daughter in the Mort clan.
Kyla Josephine was born about 09:45 on 18th February so I now have 3 kids. If I remember correctly she weighed about 6lb 7oz and the labour itself lasted about 30 mins before she was shot out like a bullet into the waiting arms of a midwife who didnt have time to put her gloves on. So I'm back to being knee-deep in nappies and baby-sick... the joy. Not that I'd change it for anything...
