Default Getting Fully Booted Out Of Guild Wars...

Since ive had my PC upgraded I keep getting fully booted out of Guil Wars, I dont mean, i get logged out, the program fully shuts down! Sometimes I get a message asking whether or not I should send off an error report message to Anet or not...ofcourse I always send, but ive never got a reply...

My problem seems to be random, it can happen after 5 mins or it can happen after an 1hr or so...

I know for a fact it has nothing to do with my internet OR my virus scanners, I run spy sweeper and the latest version of norton. I have turned both of these off while playing and they have made no difference to my problem.

It shouldnt be anything to do with my graphics card, im running an AMD Athlon Pro Atlantis 9600.
My PC specs met the requirements for Guild Wars before I upgraded, so I doubt its a hardware problem...

I have heard that it may be a problem with over clocking...

....But i wanted to ask a few places of their opinion first, before taking any further action...

Thanks for any help given.

I'm not great with the tech side i'm afraid (not too bad with the game side) but this sounds like an issue for NC Soft Support.

I'd head to Guild Wars Support (http://www.guildwars.com/support/) and let them know by lodging a ticket and filling out all the computer specs they may need....they'll amil you back within 24 hours with advice or questions that they'll need answered to help (i had a few issues last year and they always messaged back).

Sorry I cannot do more, but we wish you well.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Guild Wars. After an upgrade (depending on what was upgraded) some programs need this so they can pick up any new config that may have taken place.

It also won't hurt as your account details are not kept on your comp so you won't lose anything apart from an hour doign the install etc.

Check other GW forums (sorry Real..) and seeif anyone had a simliar problem to you as that may help also.

I think a quick reinstall fix should sort this out for you though.

It's more than likley your Video Card overheating. I had the same problem with another game (Roller Coaster Tycoon 3) where my my video card got EXTREMLY hot after about 5 mins of gamplay.

Also, make sure all the wires and plug ins for the new hardware you added are places correctly. If you know they are still take a look. Another possiblity could be your Drivers arent up to date.

Go to your Graphics card vendor site and try updating them. If these minor things don't do anything you are probably right about the over clocking. I hope this helps =D

Wondering how you came out with this. Is it a hardware problem? You never mentioned exactly what was upgraded(that I noticed).
Google for a program called "Prime95" and try running that for a stress test to see if its your CPU/Memory. It should run for a few hours minimum.
For your Graphics testing I recommend something like FutureMarks 3D series or RTHBL (i cant find it atm sorry but its a good graphic testing program).
Graphics issues of either the GPU or Memory overheating affect it differently. The GPU overheating could cause the game to shutdown while Memory overheating tends to cause graphical anomolies..ie. Snow or tearing or empty bitmap grids etc.

GL on it but I would tend to lean to either Software( hench uninstall/reinstall) or System memory/CPU errors or GPU overheating.

Well, I *did* have an error log report, but i seem to have not saved it....

I re-installed and it all seemed fine. I got kicked off again today though, ill try the programs you have mentioned as soon as i have enough free time to run them.
