Default Rules and rewards for creative familar names

Anyone else tired of the too-common familiar names? I bet there's an over-abundance of star starfish named Patrick and blood-faced volleyballs named Wilson. Then there's all the default names like Gronald. Come on, people these are pets! Think a little. Give them cool names.

I'd like to propose there be an automated program to analyze familiar names. One thing it could do is locate the cliche's. I don't propose they be banned, but perhaps there could be a sarcastic message if the name is too common, or the familiar could get pouty and choose to not fight until a better name is chosen. Something like that.

Or, how about YOU go out and reward people for creative familiar names? Send them a nice message, with an item. Even if it's something cheap, word gets around, and maybe it will flourish into something big!

When you try to rename a Blood-Faced Volleyball "Wilson", it is automatically renamed some other brand of volleyball.

Also, I hear that Exotic Parrots can't be named Polly.

I guess it's a start.

Yeah, I always laugh when they censor names like that. Like, the Imp can't be named the secret code that is required in order to get it.
