There are two the forums of loathing and the coldfront forums whats the diference and why are there two?

The Forums of Loathing are the official forums, owned by Asymmetric, while Coldfront's forums are the fansite's forums. We're definitely not as active, but there's a small community of us that enjoys posting here instead of the chaos of the official forums.
