I've had this too on the wiki. It loads:
hxxp://avsystemcare.com/data/index.php?52545a0d41420041015d510a6a595a67515a3d51 5750044751545e0c0a08160813525f5508011f505903594252 5d0b0912570f0b03

I put up some screendumps:

Oh man, that happened to me too. I click a link to the booze recipe page and BAM! a million popups from nowhere devour my screen. It's pretty obnoxious.

On related news, I sometimes get annoying music when I switch from a tab with KoL Wiki to one with KoL in it. This seems to be the same music that you can get from an ad with mouse-over functionality, so I presume that the ad in question is misbehaving. Any chance you can get rid of that ad?

Unfortunately, not with a general explanation like that. If you can find the exact ad and send us a picture of it, we can get rid of it. Since the ads with sound only happen when we mouse over, I typically just make extra sure not to mouse over them. Or get AdBlock for Firefox (or it's out for Safari now, too).

AdBlock seems like a good choice, thanks!

I have had some issues aswell. It installs a program called webbuying that causes alot of popups. I also did a adware scan and found three different trojans, those might have been on there before though. What happens to me is that my browser stops for 20 secs or so then it crashes and an error comes up saying that a shockwave on the page caused an error. After that all the popups start happening

My problem is a little different. The ad causes IE to close and an error saying something with shockwave is wrong. After the close a program called webbuying is installed. I did an adware scan and found 3 trojans. Those might have been there before though.

There's an ad from Jamba which will often play some sort of ring signals even when the cursor is nowhere near the add, such as when changing tabs or even mousing over the "last adventure" link in KoL. I use Safari 3.04 and Mac OS X 10.4 if it's of any importance.
