Default Badge Auto Update

I am running win XP and I know its not a permission problem with the folder to write to it with this user, but every time I run the update program for the builder it wants to update the badges from 1.0.5 to 1.0.105, it says that update was complete (i also do updates each time I start the program, same problem) and asked to restart but it wants to update it again. When I look at the about screen it says that the badge db version is 1.0.5. Any way to fix this?
