how about The sunken Trench as a new area in The Sea?
There could be stuff like "the Ghost of a sunken ship" or "Barrrnacle Beastie".
Also, there could be a mini-quest to "upgrade" the Barrrnacle familiar into a mini-barrrnacle beast that not only does the original familiar's effect but it also does damage and regens MP.
