lol, i just read what i posted before work this morning.

With regard to taking heal party it is not worth taking unless you're playing in an 8 person team and then only as an emergency heal. 15 mana for a long cast time 80 odd point heal is very situational but a get out of jail free card when you're struggling to catch everyone.

Offering of Blood is good for Arenas and PvE where you usually cant count on anyone to replenish your mana source but if you're thinking of HoH or GvG you can set it up with the team and maybe get a W/Mo to bring Succor, N or /N to bring Blood Ritual or another option still is to get 2 monks to go Mo/N and bring blood ritual for each other...the point here is that where you cant rely on others you need to cover your own bases.

If you're looking more for an 8 man healing build this is the one I used first time I won HoH with my Monk and I quite like it still:
Mo/Me
Orison of Healing (basic foundation of build and self heal)
Healing Breeze/Heal Other (i've always prefered breeze but a lot of PvPers i know debate whether enchants should ever be used to heal, heal other is a good value spike heal but i personally prefer breeze as another self heal but more useful than touch)
Word of Healing {E} (great value heal for 5 mana)
Dwaynas Kiss (essential PvP healing spell - hexes everywhere)
Healing Seed (essential in HoH especially but i tend to take into UW, FoW, SF & GvG too)
Inspired Hex (a bit of fun as a hex remover, u get to play with whatever u capture)
Channeling (a good mana source in HoH where you're close to the action, not so good in GvG)
Res (depending on the requirements of the team....in some gvgs i've taken another hex removal or condition removal as required, in hoh i'd take res sig and in pve i prefer rebirth or ressurect)

Have fun and Enjoy Healing
